What is Messy Play?
Sensory Play involves any activity that engages our senses, combined with various sensory materials and tools.
Messy Play, or messy sensory play, is essentially the same, except that it involves materials that can make a bigger mess!
During Messy & Sensory Play, children can freely explore and experiment with various materials that appeal to all their senses.

Tell Me More
We know children need to play, in both structure and unstructured ways. Messy play is a safe and engaging way to meet both of these needs in an environment that is not your own home.
Who organises these messy play dates?
Despoina Ioannou holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is a certified coordinator of Messy, Sensory & Clay Playgroups. She has also completed a one-year online educational program in “Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy”.
Her love for children and play led her to create Messy Little Monsters, which aims to create groups of free sensory play in a safe environment, where children can freely play, explore, experiment, and get messy alongside their parents.
In the sensory play groups she organizes, Despoina uses a variety of natural and artistic materials such as water, sand, natural clay, paints, foam, soil, homemade dough, flour, soda, lemon, and many more!
